The Eltham Ordinances, a New Interpretation

Here's a copy of the Compleat Anachronism I wrote about the Eltham Ordinances. The neat thing is these Ordinances have not been unrolled since the 1700's so they are really quite unique. They detail the life in Henry's Court in 1526 and give a fascinating view of the English Court in minute details. I didn't get enough room to publish the appendices, which is a shame. I'll put them in another post, because they're just as cool as the legislature itself.
