Greetings from the QPT Wrangler!

 

I love QPT and the opportunity it provides our novice artisans to connect with others in the community.  However, for years I’ve also been percolating the idea of an event to alternate with it at the other end of the spectrum for the Laurels.  Well, I’ve got a plan and the fall of 2024 will see the start of our LAUREL SHOWDOWN!   

 

What is this Showdown you ask?  

 

It will be a competition for the Laurels to show us their skills, and have have some fun while they're at it. The entrants will be asked to prepare two entries – one can be in their chosen field.  Here’s where the challenge comes in- the second entry will be random chance!   There will be a board with a ton of different arts and sciences on it and the category for the 2nd entry will decided by the roll of the dice. Categories the particular Laurel is deemed to have a level of expertise in will be eliminated from the roll.

The Laurels will then have 1 year to create their projects, and present them at next year's QPT.
